Swimming is a fantastic activity that places low levels of stress on the joints and bones, meaning it is ideal exercise for people recovering from injuries or surgery, and is suitable for all ages and ability levels. Swimming is also great for improving mood and increasing sleep quality, and there are plenty of swimming pools across Kent and Medway providing a variety of different ways to swim.
If you want to take some time for yourself, find an activity to do with the kids or enjoy some social time with a friend, swimming is an ideal activity. Whether you used to swim as a child or have never been much of a swimmer, there’s never a bad time to get in the pool and start giving swimming a go. It can feel hard at first if you haven’t swum for a while, but you’ll be amazed at how quickly you make progress. Please seek medical advice if you’re unsure about exercising with an existing health condition.
