Walk and Talk sessions are short, local walks designed to help you to get active, get outdoors and meet new people. They are led by friendly volunteers and usually take from 30 minutes to an hour and a half, leaving from central locations such as your local library or community centre, across East Kent and Swale.

There’s no need to book the walk, just turn up and join in!

Please contact the walk leader directly with any questions you may have via the link above, or contact the Walk and Talk Team directly via email kentchft.walkandtalk@nhs.net or call 07539 243412.

Would you like to volunteer as a Walk and Talk leader?

  • Do you enjoy walking?
  • Do you have a few hours that you could spare?
  • Would you like to lead a small walking group?

We’re always looking for friendly, local volunteers to lead walks across east Kent and Swale to join the Walk and Talk scheme. You’ll be helping to support people of all ages and fitness levels to get out walking locally; providing a sociable, safe and healthy way for local people to improve their physical and mental health. Training provided. Please contact the Walk and Talk Team to find out how to become a Walk and Talk leader: email kentchft.walkandtalk@nhs.net or call 07539 243412.
