The Medway Mile returns for 2026 to Medway Park, Gillingham.

Sign up today and register for your free event to enjoy the fun of one of the biggest community sporting events in Medway.

This year’s event will take place in and around Medway Park on Friday, 17 July, and will be celebrating the rich diversity of Sport and Physical Activities in Medway, as part of the Love Gillingham Campaign

The event will have all the free family fun you’ve come to expect at the Medway Mile – free sporting activities showcasing local sports, children’s and mascot races on the Medway Park athletics track, food and entertainment and the mass participation mile.

This year’s event will not offer a free T Shirt for participants, we will continue to invest the funds into free activities, entertainment and medals for junior participants. We would encourage anyone who has a previous event T Shirt (retro) to wear this on the evening with pride of having completed previous miles.

This year’s new mass mile route will finish within the grounds of Medway Park athletics track

The competitive adult race, is in partnership with Medway and Maidstone Athletics Club, who stage a series of showpiece Mile races on the Medway Park track.
