Cycle training
Save this itemKent County Council (KCC) offers cycling courses to give people the skills and confidence to cycle more often for leisure and work. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never cycled, or if you’ve not been on a bike for many years, there is a course for you. After taking the course, you should feel far more confident getting out and about on your bike.
The courses for adults (17 years+) suit most requirements, from total beginners to experienced cyclists:
- Learn to ride – for beginners and riders wanting to improve their bike handling and confidence. Our aim is to get you riding confidently.
- Confident road cycling – to give you the skills and confidence to cycle safely on the road.
- Introduction to electric cycles (e-bikes) – to learn more about your electrically assisted cycle, or try one of ours before you buy.
- Electric cycle (e-bike) confident road riding – having completed the introduction to electric cycles course, this course will enable you to ride your e-bike efficiently and safely on the road.
KCC also provide courses aimed at children and young people, so you can get the whole family up to speed.
