Canterbury Kings pride themselves on providing opportunities for everyone by offering an extensive badminton programme that is friendly and inclusive.

In their spacious 4 badminton court sports hall, you can either book a court or enrol onto a group session or course to help improve your game.

All badminton sessions are run in accordance with Badminton England guidelines and by qualified badminton coaches.

All Ability Badminton

This session is designed for all standards of players. Drills and matches are arranged and coaching tips offered to each individual player on technique and tactics.

When: Thursdays, 11.15 – 12.45, Term time only

Badminton For All Evening

The whole family is welcome from age 5 and is suitable for all abilities. Enjoy an evening of playing badminton matches with friends and family in a relaxed and fun environment. Coaches will be there to organise games and provide coaching tips to help improve your game. One court will be allocated for the younger players to help them enjoy the game through fun activities.

When: Mondays, 18.30 – 19.45

Canterbury para badminton

Para badminton is a rapidly growing sport, suitable for a wide range of physical disabilities. Players can be standing or use wheelchairs. Sessions provide coaching and games to improve your badminton. There are also opportunities available to compete in tournaments or friendly matches against other disability clubs in the country.

When: Tuesdays, 19:00 – 20:00 Junior and 20:00 – 21:00 Adult

Inclusive Adult Disability Badminton

Badminton is a very inclusive sport and this adult session is open to all disabilities. Structured sessions of technical skills and drills, tactical coaching, and match play within a fun, friendly environment.

When: Tuesdays, 12:00 – 13:00, Term time only

50+ Badminton Session

These sessions are for participants of all abilities and aged 50+. Coaches will organise games and will be there to provide coaching tips to help improve your game.

When: Tuesdays, 13.15 – 14.15, Term time only

Junior Badminton

Junior badminton sessions are for children aged 8-16, the sessions focus on introducing and developing basic movement patterns and racket skills in a fun and energising environment.

When: Wednesdays, 18:30 – 19:30 and Sundays 9:00 -10:30, Term time only
