Yoga for Strength and balance

This 1.5-hour workshop will integrate a yoga strength practice with sequences, balance postures, and enjoyment! Yoga for strength and balance is key for preserving our posture, core strength, muscle and joint mobility, and a healthy heart.
As aging and wear and tear naturally occur, it’s crucial to continue our strength and balance exercises to remain functionally active in our daily activities and tasks. The practice also helps maintain healthy bones and supports mental and emotional well-being.

The workshop will conclude with a relaxation session, including breathwork to regulate the nervous system, bringing our minds and bodies to a state of balance and rejuvenation for the upcoming weekend and week.

The workshop welcomes beginners, with all participants encouraged to practice within their comfort and health limits and to take breaks or rest as needed.

Instructions

Please bring your own mat, blocks, blanket, water bottle, and any other items you require for comfort during the workshop. Chairs are available for those who need them to aid their practice. Facilities include a kitchen for refilling water bottles and access to toilets and parking.
