Mersham Ladies Cricket

Cricket for females over the age of 12 with no upper age limit.

Everyone is welcome, no experience or skill needed.

We currently have 2 teams and looking at a 3rd if interest for a social team.

Our 1st team have entered the highest league level within the county so play very competitively at the highest club level, with support, encouragement and coaching to access county teams and pathways.

Our 2nd team is in the Development League and concentrates on making cricket accessible for all and acts as a pathway for our younger players to develop their game, experience and confidence to play at a higher level, whilst also giving everyone else the opportunity to play.

As a club we have male and female coaches.

We are always looking for people to be involved as non-players (umpires, scorers, supporters) if they have a love of cricket but don’t wish to or are unable to play.

Softball

If you don’t fancy or not quite confident enough for Hardball then we also have a softball team. Softball is a great introduction to cricket. No experience or equipment needed.

This is open to anyone over 12 and of any ability. Training sessions start on 8^th May for 9 weeks.

During the summer there are various tournaments that are entered and Mersham host 2 Bats and Bubbles tournaments that everyone is welcome to join.

Sessions:

Winter nets take place at Norton Knatchball school on Sunday mornings, 9am -10:30am.

In April we will move outside and train Monday evenings from 6pm until 8pm at Mersham Sports Club

Game days are Sunday afternoons

Costs:

First two indoor or Softball training sessions are free and then charged at £5 per session.

Outdoor Hardball Training sessions are free.

There is an annual Membership and match fees will be applicable

Additional information:

• Both training sites are wheelchair accessible.
• Parking is available.
• There is little to no public transport to Mersham Sports club but we are a friendly lot and could offer lifts.
• Matches are all over Kent and we often car share.
