Head in the Game facilitates free weekly drop in Football sessions in Maidstone and Thanet, with the overarching aim of reducing male suicide.

The sessions are aimed at encouraging men to open up and talk using football as a way of starting those sometimes difficult conversations.

The weekly run drop in sessions are for men between the ages of 18-55 years old with any footballing ability. The sessions are supported by experienced football and talking therapy coaches. Each drop in session has a focus on men’s mental health and wellbeing, providing an outlet to talk in a secure and trusted environment. Head in the Game also run a 12 week programme with a more focused approach to mental health and wellbeing support. These sessions will run at various times throughout 2022 in Ashford, Medway and Canterbury.

Each session consists of two football drills, a short sided match and a talking therapy session. Please bring boots/astros (and some sportswear) as all sessions take place on 3G pitches, shin pads are optional.
