Lawn Bowls – Charing Bowls Club

An accessible, sociable and addictive sport!

We are a small village Bowls Club, established in 1974 with a loyal friendly membership of around 45. We enjoy weekly Club Nights and playing friendly games in addition to competing in County competitions and Leagues.

Bowls is a sociable hobby, we have a Bar at Charing, food events and quizzes, as well as in-house Bowl and Bite events. Meet new Friends while enjoying an outdoor sport that isn’t too physically demanding but gets you moving and your brain cells working! Bowls is not just for the retired or elderly, anyone can play.!

When: We hold a Club Night every Wednesday evening from 5.30pm, where any prospective new Members can show up. You don’t need any special equipment, we will provide you with bowls to try. All you need to do is wear comfortable flat soled shoes. (Converse trainers or plimsolls are ideal). The Bar is open so you can join us all for a drink after you have had a go.

Cost: Try the sport without charge for your taster session. If you decide to carry on, you will have 4 free sessions with a Coach, then it is up to you whether you join and become a Member.
