- Thanet Girls Can never judges anyone and strives to make activity inclusive for anyone who wishes to become active.
- Thanet Girls Can recognises women come in all shapes and sizes with all abilities and from all backgrounds. Some women are more sport involved than others, some women just want to become more active for fun or social reasons – it doesn’t matter, everyone can get involved.
- Thanet Girls Can just wants to support women and girls to get active and enjoy being active. And if you’re still not sure this is for you or you wonder if this is something you can do, we’re here to help you figure out the way of getting active that’s right for you.
The objectives of Thanet Girls Can are:
- Raise awareness with local residents, organisations and providers about the opportunities for women and girls to be active.
- Thanet Girls Can is embedded in sport and physical activity opportunities and community events across the district.
- To use our collective voice to influence the decisions that affect women and girls’ participation in sport and physical activity.

Looking for a fun, energetic, and empowering way to start the week? Come join the Baypoint Blazers – Thanet’s inclusive girls’ basketball club that’s all about building confidence, skills, and community through sport.
Held every Monday evening from 6.30 –7.30pm at the superb Baypoint Club near Ramsgate, Baypoint Blazers welcomes girls of all abilities aged 10–16. Whether you’re picking up a basketball for the first time or looking to develop your game, our friendly and experienced coaches will support you every step of the way.
