Medway’s friendliest gym is getting even better. A brand-new nearly 400sqm gym extension is on the way, packed with state-of-the-art functional training equipment, immersive lighting and sound systems, and exciting new class formats designed to push your limits and keep you motivated.
Expected completion: Spring 2026
Where Will It Be?
The new extension will be built as a second floor above our existing main gym area, creating a dedicated functional training space that’s separate yet seamlessly connected to the gym you already know and love.
This smart design means:
Minimal disruption to your current training during construction
(we aim to keep any disruption to a minimum but please excuse any noise / interruptions during your workout sessions)
Easy access between floors for a smooth workout flow
Double the space without losing the community feel
A dedicated zone for functional fitness and new classes

Acorns Health & Fitness is an open plan gym and health facility at Lordswood Leisure Centre, Chatham. Acorn’s gym has a variety of exercise machines and equipment to suit all abilities and fitness levels. Each area has its own room to make the gym less intimidating and more welcoming for customers.
GROUP EXERCISE
There is classes timetable of high and minimal impact classes is fully included in your membership with no additional costs.
Cardiovascular area – fully maintained & up-to-date equipment.
2 Free Weight areas – Variety of different weight dumbbells, cable cross over machine and benches.
Fixed Resistance area – Variety of machines of the most popular, all maintained.
Health Suite area – Sauna & Steam room, all designed to sweat dirt out from the pours in the skin and wash them away. Also fantastic for relaxing and unwinding after a great workout.
Acorns provide a range of different membership packages to suit all requirements.
