World Mental Health Day – Tuesday 10 October

World Mental Health Day is about raising awareness of mental health and driving positive change for everyone’s mental health.  It’s also a chance to talk about mental health, and learning what we can do to look after ourselves and each other.

Timetable

12pm to 1.30pm – *Tranquil swim at Hoo Sports Centre.  Put the laptop away and spend your lunchtime with a relaxing swim.  No need to book.  Please bring Council ID to show at reception.

1pm to 1.45pm – **Hydro your Flo at Strood Sports Centre.  A hydrotherapy session in the comforting warmth of the hydrotherapy pool with chilled music, mood lighting and breathwork. Book online.  Premier Members can book 15 days in advance.  Members of the public can book from Thursday 5 October.

 

4.30pm to 5.15pm – **Chill-out! At Medway Park.  How often do you hear that phase from your children? Come along with them to share a peaceful yoga practice together.  All ages and abilities welcome.  Book online.  Premier Members can book 15 days in advance.  Members of the public can book from Thursday 5 October.

 

5.30pm to 6.15pm – **Meditation, mindfulness and soundbath at Medway Park.  Whether you’re curious or it’s something you practice regularly, our specialist instructor will guide you through a simple and peaceful meditation practice leading into a soothing soundbath.  Book online.  Premier Members can book 15 days in advance.  Members of the public can book from Thursday 5 October.

 

Many reports have claimed the extensive benefits of the healing vibrations from a soundbath such as deep relaxation, reduced stress, and improved sleep and mood.  Come along and give it a go for yourself.  All you need to do is lie down, get comfy and listen.  You are welcome to bring cushions, blankets or eye masks.

 

6pm to 6.30pm – *Skip away your stresses at Medway Park.  If you haven’t picked up a skipping rope since school days, then you don’t know what you’re missing.  Don’t leave the fun to the children, join our SkipFit class which is suitable for all abilities.   No need to book.  Please bring Council ID to show at reception.
